We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Portfolio and Ecosystem Intern to join our dynamic team. This role is ideal for someone looking to grow their career in venture capital and ecosystem development.
The Portfolio and Ecosystem Intern will support the management of our portfolio companies and help foster a thriving ecosystem of partners, including co-investors and corporates. This position offers high autonomy and ownership in your work, allowing you to make meaningful contributions and drive significant impact.
Responsibilities:
- Portfolio Support:
- Assist in managing Motion Ventures' invested portfolio.
- Support monitoring and evaluating portfolio company performance.
- Facilitate communication with founders and stakeholders to align with Motion Ventures' objectives.
- Provide strategic and operational support to nurture portfolio startups' growth.
- Ecosystem Development:
- Help maintain and develop relationships with co-investors, corporates, and other strategic partners.
- Assist in identifying and pursuing partnership opportunities.
- Collaborate with industry experts and organisations to support startups.
- Foster a strong ecosystem to aid lead generation for the investment team.
- Reporting and Analysis:
- Prepare reports on portfolio company performance, insights, and trends for stakeholders.
- Experience or internships in managing startup portfolios, accelerators/incubators, or venture capital.
- Strong interpersonal skills for relationship management.
- Resourceful, problem-solving, and independent working ability.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to be a specialised generalist, extending multiple skill sets.
- Interest or knowledge in the maritime industry and innovation ecosystem is a plus.
- Interest or knowledge of basic tech skills, such as managing a database and setting up a landing page, is a plus.
