Position Overview:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Ecosystem Growth Associate to join our dynamic team. This role is ideal for someone looking to grow their career in venture capital and ecosystem development. A passion for innovation in the maritime industry is a bonus.

The Ecosystem Growth Associate will help foster a thriving ecosystem of partners, including co-investors and corporates, and support the management of our portfolio companies. This position offers high autonomy and ownership in your work, allowing you to make meaningful contributions and drive significant impact.

Responsibilities:

• Define and implement Motion Ventures' ecosystem development strategy to create value for startups, co-investors, and corporate partners.
• Expand Motion Ventures' ecosystem presence by identifying emerging trends and fostering strategic collaborations
• Lead the development of long-term partnerships with maritime and logistics corporates, co-investors, and thought leaders to drive Motion Ventures' ecosystem impact.
• Support portfolio companies by facilitating connections to strategic partners and providing resources to accelerate their growth.
• Continuously identify gaps and opportunities within the ecosystem, introducing new initiatives to foster innovation and collaboration.
• Supplement team’s needs with reports on industry trends and insights for various stakeholders.
  
  

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• Min. 3 years experience in early-stage startups, venture capital funds, and/or innovation teams.
• Strong interpersonal skills for relationship management.
• Resourceful, with a first-principles approach to problem-solving and the ability to work independently.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to be a specialised generalist, extending across multiple skill sets.
• Ability to learn and adapt quickly is essential.
• Interest or knowledge in the maritime industry and innovation ecosystem is a plus.
• Familiarity with tech skills and tools, such as managing databases, CRMs, and automation tools, is a plus.
